Black and White by Paul Volponi
Deadline Questions
1. Do you agree with Ben's reasoning for why he didn't immediately tell his friend's and family about his imminent death.
2. Child abuse was present in several ways throughout the novel (Mr. Cowens beating up Sooner, Rudy McCoy molesting his altar boy, Rudy being molested in the first place, Dallas being molested by her uncle). What, if any, conclusions did Crutcher make about child abuse, especially in regards to somewhat accepting Rudy?
3. How would it make you feel if a loved one didn't tell you about dying for the one year of life they had left?
